Radon Testing
Radon is a cancer causing radioactive gas. You can not see, taste or smell it , and it could pose a problem in the home you intend to purchase
The environmental protection agency (epa) estimates radon to be the leading cause of lung cancer among non- smokers and the second leading cause of cancer overall
If you smoke and your home has high radon levels, your risk of lung cancer is especially high. It claims about 21,000 lives every year, with approximately 2,900 hundred of these deaths occurring among those who have never smoked. Lung cancer now surpasses breast cancer as the leading cause of death among women
Trinity Inspection is certified by the state of Pennsylvania department of radon to perform radon testing (dep). The testing is easy and relatively inexpensive. A special radon device is placed in the home and results are obtained in a couple of days. If high levels are found in a home (4.0 pci/l or above), they can easily be reduced to a safe and acceptable level.
